Meet the Owner
We treat our customers the way you want to be treated.
Sal Caracci is the founder of Kinetech Motor Werkes. As a second generation BMW mechanic and the son of Italian immigrants, Sal has always had an interest in automobiles, specifically BMW’s as well as other European automobiles.
Born and raised in the Hudson Valley area of Westchester County, New York Sal is the middle child to Salvatore and Giselda Caracci. As a child, Sal’s mother would take him and his two siblings to visit their father at his mechanic shop. Being exposed to this environment contributed heavily to the passion that lives on today.
Sal was never a great student and thought it would be best to learn a skilled trade as opposed to going the traditional 4 year college route. While taking an auto body repair class as a senior in high school, a poster of a BMW on the classroom wall caught Sal’s attention on the first day. This was an advertisement for Universal Technical Institute (UTI). Immediately, the need to find out more had become an obsession. Sal contacted the UTI offices and arranged for a recruiter to visit his High School. His mind was made up, this would be the path to his future. With his parents’ blessing, Sal enrolled for fall ‘01 classes at UTI’s Glendale Heights, IL campus, located in the suburbs of Chicago. As chance would have it there was a BMW dealership located 1 mile from Sal’s new home in Schaumburg, IL. He visited the dealership twice a week for the next 12 weeks asking about opportunities to join the team as an entry-level employee. In January of 2002, everything changed when an offer to become a part-time General Service / Lot porter was extended and Sal accepted. After Graduation from UTI, as an entry-level technician, Sal worked for various BMW/ MINI dealership / service centers.
In 2013 there was a feeling that Sal had that had not been felt in a long time; it was the feeling that Sal could own and operate his own repair shop. Offering dealership-level service on a more personalized platform while focusing on what the customer needs, would be the foundation for a new business to be born. Kinetech Motor Werkes was formed.
Today, Sal lives in Wesley Chapel, North Carolina with his wife and two children. One of Sal’s favorite things to do is cooking for friends and family. He also has a passion for educating vehicle owners about the importance of car care and knowing about auto repair. Sal is a passionate, hard-working, and fast-paced individual that feels blessed and honored by every customer that chooses to have their vehicle serviced by him and his team at Kinetech Motor Werkes. Sal’s mission is to provide honest, quality work at a fair price and provide exceptional value.
