Four Reasons To Love European Cars

Okay, we admit it: We’re biased. We here at Kinetech Motor Werkes love European automobiles. This is why we specialize in them. If you already drive a European make and model, you know how great it is to own one of these vehicles. If you don’t, let us give you four reasons why these cars are so awesome.

1. Efficiency

You’ve probably heard at one point or another that gasoline is much more expensive in Europe than it is here. Prices are close to comparable in some of the major cities these days but depending on where you are in Europe, you will pay double per gallon what we pay here in the states. To encourage Europeans to purchase and drive automobiles – many prefer mopeds or public transport – European automobile manufacturers produce diesel and gasoline-powered engines that are incredibly fuel-efficient. This helps drivers save money at the pump because they don’t have to head to the pump as often.

2. Handling

Efficiency isn’t just gas mileage, however. European automobiles are well-known for how well they handle. Most are smaller than American-made vehicles and they are designed to handle tight corners and other tenuous driving at higher speeds. German-made automobiles, in particular, are designed to handle safely on the Autobahn where, in some places and under certain driving conditions, there is no speed limit. These vehicles offer superior handling to both domestic and Asian makes and models.

3. Looks

Admittedly, America and Asia are catching up to European aesthetics. Many domestic and Asian automobile manufacturers produce stunning vehicles that catch the eye of all who see it. Still, is there any car that looks fiercer than those found in the BMW 8 Series? What about the luxury of a new or classic Mercedes-Benz? European automobiles are as beautiful as they are efficient. You’ll not only be driving a car that handles well under any driving conditions but you’ll also look good driving it.

4. Lifespan

Finally, again, to encourage Europeans to buy automobiles, European automobile manufacturers build their cars to last. The record for a European automobile with a diesel engine is held by a Mercedes-Benz that lasted 900,000 miles before it died. Impossible, right? Well, it’s doubtful another engine will reach that milestone anytime soon but if you take of your European automobile, it will take care of you. These vehicles are designed to last which is why you see many older models on the roads today.
